Wilfrid Murray trained originally at the Royal College of Music, studying piano with Cyril Smith and theory with Stephen Dodgson. He later studied with the celebrated Swiss pianist Albert Ferber whilst establishing a teaching practice in South London and giving both solo and chamber recitals.
He has also trained as a teacher of the Alexander Technique at the Constructive Teaching Centre and subsequently completed a Masters Degree at the London College of Music, achieving Distinction and the award of the Post-Graduate prize. Recital venues have included Leighton House, Burgh house, Penn House, York University, Royal Holloway College, London College of Music and Goldsmiths College.
At present he teaches at the London College of Music, Morley College, Caldicott School in Buckinghamshire and the Alexander Technique Studio in Wandsworth.
