Geoff Raggett is a accomplished musician who has been performing professionally since 2000. Although initially training as a classical guitarist the wanton lure of rock’n’roll swiftly swayed his musical direction from an early age. He cites Chuck Berry’s 1985 performance of Roll Over Beethoven on Rock’n’Roll Forever as the main influence. Over the years as his musical palette broadened, he developed a love for blues from the Delta, a visceral yet highly complex style of playing. He is continually thunderstruck by the shear virtuosity of Robert Johnson.
Throughout the course of his musical career Geoff has attained a number of exciting and fulfilling heights. His self-penned songs have featured in NME and Music Week and he has played with the likes of Keane and Jess Glyn. Alongside his creative works, Geoff charades as John Lennon in one of the UK’s leading Beatle Tribute bands. He has performed to audiences of 3000 and more all over the globe, namely France, Germany, Malta, Beirut, Kazakhstan and a live television performance in Seoul, Korea.
Geoff has taught Acoustic Guitar Levels 1, 2 & 3 at Morley College for three years. Additionally he teaches at other institutions and prepares students for Rockschool and ABRSM classical exams.
Geoff is currently working on material for his first album and resides in London town.
