Dr Andrew Gower
Prior to his appointment to Morley as Principal, Andrew Gower was Vice Principal of East Kent College where he was responsible for leading curriculum strategy, contributing to successful institutional developments that included expansion of East Kent College across three campus locations in Broadstairs, Dover and Folkestone.
Andrew began his career leading and teaching courses in Music Technology at Canterbury College and Kingston University whilst also studying musical composition at Canterbury Christ Church University and singing as a bass lay clerk in Canterbury Cathedral Choir. In 2002 he was appointed as a Senior Lecturer in Music at Canterbury Christ Church specialising in electroacoustic composition and studio production, broadening his contribution to also include faculty co-ordination of quality assurance and knowledge exchange. Then between 2007 and 2011 Andrew was Director of Canterbury Christ Church University's Broadstairs Campus providing academic and operational leadership in the development of the Campus through growth in undergraduate programmes centred on digital media, commercial music, business management and public services.
Andrew works actively to enable participation in education, and continues to be associated with research activity relating to the creative industries, employability and college higher education.
