Richenda is a tutor committed to broadening and encouraging students to develop and explore their printmaking techniques and developing their own individual style of work.
Richenda studied printmaking and contemporary dance at Brighton University and completed a post-graduate dance course at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. She has continued her printmaking practice working from her home studio in Surrey.
As a practising artist, Richenda exhibits regularly in London and the UK. Her book ‘Ocean Swell’ published in 2016 has been a springboard for much of her prints in recent years. The book, made up of 90 line drawings, tells the ethereal journey of two people who enter an underwater world. The prints from the book include small detailed etchings to ambitious large scale linocuts with etched borders printed by Simon Lawson at Huguenot Editions.
Richenda has had work selected for, amongst others, the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and Royal Society of British Artists. Her solo show’s include Sotherans, Piccadilly and The White Box, Blackheath. Group shows include the collective LOOP, a group of contemporary printmakers who exhibit regularly at Bankside Gallery, London. Richenda’s work is held in collections including the Victoria & Albert Museum and is represented by galleries including Sotherans in Sackville Street London.
