Marta trained in Hip Hop styles and contemporary dance at Maria Carbonell Escuela de Danza and Associacio Sociocultural Gerard Collins (Spain), learning from renown choreographers such as Junior Almeida, BRODAS (Hip Hop), Gustavo Ramirez and Christine Cloux (contemporary). Since moving to London she continues to develop her practice and travels regularly to LA.
She has been working as a freelance dance artist and member of several companies and interdisciplinary collectives among which Alias LDN, the Rebirth Network, Instigate Unknown and I=WE/Untold (Ned). Her work also includes assisting movement direction for commercials and music artists, creative and development work as well as several projects using dance for social change and inclusion.
She teaches a range of regular adult street and commercial dance classes in London, is a faculty member at Danceworks Ballet Academy for Contemporary junior and delivers 121 sessions to individuals of all backgrounds who want to explore and develop their dance practice.
In her classes she likes to use different principles and techniques, explore musicality, dive into the cultural elements of each style and work both creatively and choreographically.
At Morley, she is the tutor for Urban Dance and one of the administrators for Dance and Drama.
