Katharine Harrison is a fashion designer, tailor and corset maker based in South-East London. Working on a bespoke and made-to-measure basis, Katharine runs her own atelier producing garments for her signature fashion label, as well as individual commissions for Film, Events, Editorial and performance. She has over 10 years experience in both fashion and period costume, working as a tailor and corset maker for various productions including Far From the Madding Crowd, Bright Star and The Young Victoria. Working with costume designers such as Janet Patterson and Jenny Tirimani, Katharine has much experience producing pieces for 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th century productions.
Katharine has produced contemporary sample collections for her own brand and for small scale artisanal and red carpet brands such as Samuel Dougal and Atelier Baba. Trained in Fashion Design at the University of Brighton and as an apprentice in Bespoke Tailoring on Savile Row, Katharine has worked and trained under labels such as Anderson and Sheppard, Marchesa and Katharine Hamnett following her graduation, and has experience teaching pattern cutting and construction to fashion students at Middlesex University and on the Central St Martins Summer School.
Katharine teaches Tailoring, Advanced Clothes Making, Costume, and Corsetry at Morley.
