Dr Fiona Murray
Dr. Fiona Murray completed a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology (with first class honours) and a PhD in Physiology both at the University of Aberdeen. Fiona’s thesis work examined the role of sphingolipid signalling in cardiac muscle cells and was funded by the British Heart Foundation. In addition to her scientific qualifications Fiona holds a degree level Teaching Qualification in Further Education from the University of Aberdeen.
After 5 years as a biology and chemistry lecturer at Aberdeen College, Fiona moved to New York City where she was the lead instructor in Bioscience at the Swedish Institute, College of Health Sciences in Manhattan for many years. Fiona joined Morley College in 2016 as the Advanced Learning Tutor in Science and became Programme Manager for Science in September 2018. Fiona has a strong passion for science education and enjoys sharing her love of science with her students.
