Kathleen Ridley

A costumier for stage and screen, has been working in London for 15 years making costumes for TV, film, theatre, opera and ballet.

She was a ladies’ cutter at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden for 6 ½ years on 60 productions and still works as a freelance costumier for ROH. She has collaborated with leading performers and designers: Nicky Gillibrand, Jenny Tiramani, Bob Crowley, Alison Chitty, Vicki Mortimer, to name a few. Kathleen has made costumes for many Madame Tussaud’s celebrities in the 10 years she has been working for the company.

She is a lecturer on the BA Costume for Theatre and Screen at Wimbledon College of Arts and an associate lecturer at London College of Fashion on the BA Costume for Performance. Kathleen also teaches Creative Pattern Cutting: Draping on the Stand at Morley College.
