This course is ideal for those wishing to develop the skills and knowledge across a variety of roles, including adult care work, healthcare support and personal assistance.
You will cover a wide range of areas including dementia awareness, mental health and well-being, supporting individuals with their physical and emotional care, daily living needs and healthcare procedures.

You will develop the knowledge and skills needed when working in a lead adult care worker role in care settings.

This course will give you a solid introduction to working in childcare. At the same time, you will improve your maths, English and digital skills – all of which are key to successful employment in the sector. You will gain experience of both childcare and healthcare before choosing your preferred specialism.

This course will provide you with the knowledge and understanding of babies and children from birth to seven years of age, enabling you to work under supervision in a variety of roles such as nursery practitioner, classroom assistant and pre-school practitioner.

• Learn how to support children’s development and keep them safe.

The course gives you a ‘license to practice’, meaning you’ll be qualified to work unsupervised and manage or lead a setting.

• Study all aspects of early years practice from keeping children safe to legislation and theoretical perspectives, and undertake a longitudinal study of two children from 2 different age ranges.
• Put your knowledge into practice on a work placement two days a week.
