UAL LEVEL 3 DIPLOMA IN INTERIOR DESIGN
An intensive one year course, where you will learn interior spatial design and styling to give you the skills and experience to develop as a creative Interior Designer.
Through practical projects, you will learn how to develop and create a concept for an interior from designing the space to styling it with colour, pattern and texture, visualizing your ideas using computer aided design and model-making. We will introduce you to design methods and technical skills, leading to 3-dimensional thinking and analysis.
Projects will range from domestic spaces to commercial interiors in the local area.
HOW WILL YOU BE SUPPORTED?
You will have a personal tutor to monitor and support your progress in learning. We always provide full support to students who need extra help in any aspect of their studies, for example to dyslexic students.
If you have not yet completed Maths and/or English to a grade 4 then you will attend this as well, as part of the legal requirement of your study programme. Our experienced Maths and English department will support you in gaining the necessary Level 2 qualifications.
To ensure that you make the best possible progress on your course, you will have regular feedback from your tutor, in a constructive and supportive environment.
BY THE END OF THE COURSE YOU WILL BE ABLE TO
- Progress onto the Higher National Certificate in Interior Architecture at Morley
- Present your completed portfolio for university- our students have progressed to renowned institutions such as Central Saint Martins, Chelsea College of Art and Glasgow School of Art
- Apply for one of the many and varied jobs in the design industry.
