UAL LEVEL 3 EXTENDED DIPLOMA IN CREATIVE PRACTICE
The UAL Level 3 Diploma in Creative Practice: Art, Design and Communication at Morley College London is designed to help you build upon and develop your interests, skills and knowledge of fine art, design, research and context.
This collaborative, interdisciplinary course equips learners with the opportunity to develop their art and design portfolios for progression onto further & higher education courses and careers in Art & Design.
Students develop the skills, competencies and knowledge that will lead to a successful future in the creative industries or the many industries that require creative talent to support their business or enterprises.
Some of the specific transferable skills and competencies that will benefit other areas of study and students can expect to develop by completing the course qualification can include eg. Research; creative thinking; reflective learning; initiative; independent enquiry; team working; self-management; effective participation
You’ll explore and interrogate the creative process fully through its various stages, developing knowledge of various materials, techniques and processes used across 2-dimensional, 3-dimensional and 4-dimensional creative practice. You’ll demonstrate your skills in project-focused work by responding to briefs and leading your own creative research.
This course explores all aspects of a chosen specialist industry practice within the creative industry, to inform your development as a creative practitioner and influence future career progression.
HOW WILL YOU BE SUPPORTED?
You will have a personal tutor to monitor and support your progress in learning. We always provide full support to students who need extra help in any aspect of their studies, for example to dyslexic students.
If you have not yet completed Maths and/or English to a grade 4 then you will attend this as well, as part of the legal requirement of your study programme. Our experienced Maths and English department will support you in gaining the necessary Level 2 qualifications.
To ensure that you make the best possible progress on your course, you will have regular feedback from your tutor, in a constructive and supportive environment.
BY THE END OF THE COURSE YOU WILL BE ABLE TO
The course will enable students to develop fundamental skills towards a career in Art, Design and Communication including: Fine Art, Visual Communication, Graphic Design, Illustration, Interior and Spatial Design, Architecture, Fashion and Textiles.
