LEVEL 3 DIPLOMA IN ADULT CARE
This qualification develops the knowledge and skills needed when working in a lead adult care worker role in care settings. It covers a wide range of areas including supporting individuals with their physical and emotional care, daily living needs and health and social care procedures.
This qualification also aligns to the Apprenticeship Standard for Lead Adult Care Worker, and is also suited for those who are currently working in a lead adult care worker role with adults in health and social care settings.
HOW WILL YOU BE SUPPORTED?
You will have a personal tutor to monitor and support your progress in learning. We always provide full support to students who need extra help in any aspect of their studies, for example to dyslexic students.
If you have not yet completed Maths and/or English to a grade 4 then you will attend this as well, as part of the legal requirement of your study programme. Our experienced Maths and English department will support you in gaining the necessary Level 2 qualifications.
To ensure that you make the best possible progress on your course, you will have regular feedback from your tutor, in a constructive and supportive environment.
The course is assessed throughout the year using a range of methods. This could include direct observation in the workplace, a portfolio of evidence, written assignments or a task.
NB: Learners should be at least 16 years old and those under 18 will be expected to be in college and placement full time, meeting the government requirements, (2 full days a week in placement throughout the year)
BY THE END OF THE COURSE YOU WILL BE ABLE TO
- After one year of practice you can apply for the advanced practitioner level 4 or the Foundation Degree.
