Learning Centre
The Learning Centre is a drop-in facility offering free access to computers and the internet for Morley’s students.
Our facilities include 11 PCs, A3 and A4 scanners, and colour and black & white printers. We also have a range of software including Microsoft Office, MS Publisher, InDesign, Photoshop, Sibelius, Earmaster and Typequick.
Specialist resources
We can provide specialist equipment on request, including large keyboards, trackball mice, an ergonomic mouse, footrests and document holders. We also have an adjustable desk for wheelchair users.
Specialist software is also provided, including Inspiration assistive technology for dyslexic students; Supernova screen magnification and screen reading software; and TextHelp text reading software.
Advance booking is recommended as we cannot guarantee access to equipment and software.
Moodle Virtual Learning Environment
Moodle is Morley's Virtual Learning Environment. On Moodle you will find resources your tutor has provided to support your learning, including course administration documents, a breakdown of each week’s activities, key downloadable handouts and links to useful websites.
Athens
Morley has an Athens account which currently gives students access to the following online resources:
- Arts on Film Archive
- British Library Sound Archive
- Oxford Music online
- Oxford Art online
- The Oxford History of Western Music
- Ebooks via Dawsonera
Resources can be accessed from both within and outside the College. Please ask at the Helpdesk for an Athens form.
To use the Learning Centre simply present your current Morley College student card and fill in a user agreement. However, please bear in mind that PCs are provided to support course work only and the Learning Centre is a quiet study area. We are located in the lower library, on the first floor of the main college building.

Monday to Thursday, 10am – 7.30pm, Friday 10am - 6pm
