Morley College Limited is an independent registered charity. The College receives grant-aid from the Learning and Skills Council, and support from other bodies. However to maintain our high quality provision and to continue to support innovative programmes, we have also to rely on financial help from past and present members of the College.
You can make a donation to the College as a whole or contribute to the Appeal 2000 fund, which supports individual students.
Donations to the College as a whole
You can:
a) Give an amount to the College through Gift Aid: If you pay tax, Gift Aid is a very effective way of giving to a charity; the College can increase the value of your donation at no cost to you by reclaiming tax from the Inland Revenue. All you need to do is complete and sign a short form.
b) Nominate the College through your employer for charitable giving.
c) Name Morley College as a beneficiary in your will; When preparing their will, many people decide to leave money to a range of charities. As a registered charity, Morley College Limited and as such has benefited from legacies from former members of staff and students. One example is the late Ursula Hyde, whose legacy has funded the provision of the Ursula Hyde Learning Centre for the benefits of all students at Morley.
Appeal 2000
Once enrolled on a course, some students, through no fault of their own, may encounter unforeseen difficulties which may affect their continued attendance on courses. For these students we have decided to create a fund from which some or all of their fees and a contribution to learning materials and travel costs may be met.
We appeal to all students to contribute to this fund, as a means of helping students less fortunate than themselves to participate fully in the Morley learning community.
To make a contribution to Appeal 2000, no matter how small, just register for Code 2000 on the enrolment form. This can be done at any time during the year. By completing a short form you can enable the College to claim back the tax through Gift Aid.
Any donations will only be used to support students in need.
