Specialist Resources
The College tries whenever possible to meet the specific requirements of students with a disability or learning need. For further assistance available (induction loops, lifts, documents on tape, optical reader, parking for disabled etc) ask at the Enrolment Desk at the College or at the Learning Support Office.
If you have limited vision or mobility a member of staff will advise you on your first visit to the College. Please contact the Enrolment Desk on 020 7450 1889 or email enquiries@morleycollege.ac.uk for information.
Disability Access
Access to Buildings
The Main Building has two lifts facilitating access for students using wheelchairs. A new lift has also been installed to improve access to the Library for wheelchair users. Unfortunately, a small area of the College is still not fully accessible. Please contact Sally Townsend for further details on 020 7450 1835.
The Mental Health Project
Kate Spiegelhalter, Rethink SDI Mental Health Link Worker, is currently leading a project based across the four SDI colleges: Mary Ward Centre, Working Men's College, City Lit and Morley.
The principal aims of the project are to increase the colleges' capacity to support students with mental health difficulties; encourage students with these issues to enrol; facilitate and carry out training for tutors; and link the colleges up to mental health service providers in their communities. We are currently developing an area on the College's Moodle VLE to provide resources for staff. Click for Mental Health Project tutor resources »
