Morley Medieval

What is Morley Medieval?

Morley Medieval is a subscription lecture society which also does trips to the Continent. It was started in 1985 for people who had been through our standard classes on medieval art and wanted something further. Each year we host about fifteen to twenty Guest Lectures by leading specialists on their areas of interest. The talks usually take place in the Holst Room in Morley College on Friday evenings, currently starting at 6.50pm. The membership is lively and friendly. Anyone interested is welcome, either at the talks or on the Continental trips. For the talks people can just pay on the door although there are reduced rates for those who subscribe to a whole series or a whole year. For further details contact Barrie Singleton:

Morley Medieval Guest Lectures 2010/11

Lecture schedule will be announced in September 2010.

Talks start at 6.50 and usually last about fifty minutes to an hour. They are generally held in The Holst Room. After the talks there is the opportunity for formal questions from the floor, and then we hope the lecturer will be able to stay on for a while and answer informal questions over a drink. The talks will cost £3.30 on the door but are free to Full or Class members of MM.

For any further details, to resolve any queries, or to get further information about Morley Medieval please contact Barrie Singleton. Anyone interested is welcome.
