London Jewellery Week 2012 at Morley
We are celebrating London Jewellery Week 2012 with a series of events at the College:
an exhibition, taster session, a guest lecture and a drop-in session
Jewellery at Morley Summer Show
Wednesday 16th May to Saturday 16th June
An exhibition showcasing the work of Annette O'Sullivan, Jane De Baecke, Margaret Howker, Victoria O' Connell, Jane Prentice and Marina Kulukundis as well as selected work from other Morley Jewellery students. The exhibition takes place in the foyer of the main building
Jewellery Taster Course
Monday 11 June Free 10am – 12.30pm
Learn new techniques with Helen Smith, Head of Section for Jewellery, in a free taster of our jewellery courses at Morley College. The session covers basic jewellery making skills and is suitable for beginners - no previous knowledge or experience required.
Lecture by Jessica Turrell
Wednesday 13 June 4.30- 5.30pm
Jessica Turrell, leading enamel artist, researcher and curator, will talk about her own work in the context of contemporary enamel practice. She will also be discussing the curation project that led to the exhibition 'Surface and Substance' which was held at CAA, Electrum and Ruthin Craft Centre.
Drop-in Sessions
11 - 16 June, 11am - 4pm and 6.30pm -8.30pm. Room A31
Our Jewellery studio will be open for visitors to drop in, chat to students, view the new workshop and see what's going on
