Morley College student Ellen Southern is making her debut at the Brighton Fringe on Saturday 26 May where her ensemble will perform the show 'Haunted Voices' (Knoyle Hall, 5pm)

Ellen is currently studying for a Masters in Performance and Visual Practices at Brighton University, having taken an Access to Music course at Morley in 2008. The course helps students who are looking to study at university develop musicianship skills, while exploring developments in music from the Late Medieval period up to the present day. During her time at the College, Ellen also took several vocal courses including Jazz, Gospel and even Authentic Bulgarian Singing.

About the show

'Haunted Voices' is the debut Fringe show by Ellen Southern and Ensemble. It will feature ‘Of The Brilliant And The Dark’ a mesmerising work for voices and instruments, which transports the listener on an emotive journey. Her new work 'Night Songs' will also be performed, in which cyclical musical phrases are sung to the durations of lit matches.
