Staff and student achievements celebrated at Awards Ceremony
Staff and students at the College came together last night to celebrate the year's achievements in the Adult Learners' Week Award Ceremony.
Winners included students who had gone on to gain places at university, while others had set up their own businesses. Classes, volunteers and individual staff were also recognised as awards were given for: Achievement, Humour, Effort & Hard Work, Teamwork, Creativity and Staff Contribution. There were also awards for Special and Outstanding Contribution.
We were pleased to welcome back former Morley Creating Writing student David Turnbull as a special guest, having recently published his first novel, The Tale of Euan Redcap. The evening also saw opera and dance performances from current Morley students.
The ceremony was one of several events we are holding for Adult Learners’ Week 2012. Adult Learners' Week is the UK’s biggest festival of learning, celebrating the achievements of adult learners across the country and encouraging people to try learning something new.

A great evening with some truly well deserved personal awards. Can you publish the photographs sometime soon?
