Head of Drama to star in Bible epic for History Channel
Our Head of Drama Dominic Grant is set to play the Jericho Commander in a new production of 'The Bible' for the History Channel. The ten-part series, devised by 'The Apprentice' creator Mark Burnett is set to cover the entire Bible, 'from Genesis to Revelation'.
Dominic gave us an insight into the recent filming on location in Morocco:
"What a crazy life: one moment I am wrapped up in the creating of a 1930s Donegal for the Morley Acting Studio production of 'Dancing at Lughnasa', the next moment I am dancing over scorpions in the Moroccan desert, filming at 3am as the walls of Jericho 'come tumbling down'!
"I play the Jericho Commander - trying to defend the city against this impossible onslaught. The cast and crew are great, the production values are very high and I was really looked after on-set. It's an international release and a huge project - so look out for it on your screens next year!"
The series will be shown on The History Channel (US) in 2013 with a UK release to follow.
