Morley Gallery: Made 2012 Part III
Made Part III reflects the talent and creativity of adult learners in Morley's sculpture studio. The sculpture courses are comprised of students from diverse backgrounds, experiences and approaches producing explorative sculptural work in a variety of materials, techniques and craftsmanship.
Brian Falconbridge, past President of The Royal British Society of Sculptors, is one of the selectors for this year’s exhibition, along with Jane Hartwell, Morley Gallery Manager, and Kathy McLauchlan, Art & Design Manager.
The studio was established in 1977 through support from the Henry Moore Foundation and has recently had a major refurbishment. Over the years it has developed a very good reputation as a well equipped and organized adult learners’ sculpture studio.
Guided Tours of Made Part III by Sheila Vollmer, Section Head of Sculpture, will be given on Monday 14 May at 6pm and Tuesday 22 May at 12:45pm. An artist’s talk by sculpture tutor Julian Wild will be given on Monday 21 May at 5.15pm.
These events are free however you will need to book your place if you wish to attend. Please contact Morley Gallery on 020 7450 1826 or gallery@morleycollege.ac.uk or speak to gallery staff during exhibition opening times to secure your booking
