We currently offer part-time courses in Arabic, Chinese (Mandarin), Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Portuguese (Brazilian), Russian, Swedish, Spanish and Turkish.

Which level is right for you?

Each of our languages are taught in stages, enabling you to study at the level that suits you, and to progress on to more advanced studies when you are ready. For an idea of which level would be most suitable for you, please visit our Course Levels page.

Accredited courses

We offer ABC Awards in Arabic, Chinese (Mandarin), French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Turkish. The awards are nationally recognised qualifications, and students are required to undertake exams as part of these. The cost of ABC registration is included in the course fee. For more information visit the ABC Awards website.

Intensive and Fast Track courses

Fast track your French or Spanish by taking one of our new intensive courses where you attend two classes per week.  This allows you to learn at a faster pace and progress from language levels 1A to 2C in one academic year. If you cannot attend during the week, we also offer fast track courses on Saturdays.

European Bookshop discount

All students enrolled on a Languages course at Morley College are entitled to a 10% discount at the European Bookshop and the Italian Bookshop. To take advantage of this offer print a copy of the European Bookshop voucher and present it when you make your purchase.

Learning support

If you have a learning difficulty such as dyslexia or a disability that might affect your learning or a mental health difficulty and would like to discuss how we may be able to help, please contact our Learning Support team.

Advice and guidance

The Languages department holds drop-in sessions for advice and guidance every Monday and Friday from 2.30 - 4.30pm during term time.

If you want to begin a course, other than beginners level, it is possible to book a one off taster session where you have the opportunity to assess your level and find out more about the course. Taster session bookings must be arranged at least one day beforehand by contacting the languages department on 020 7450 1932 or via languages@morleycollege.ac.uk.
