ESOL and EFL

Morley offers courses in both EFL (English as a Foreign Language) and ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages).

EFL courses are for people who are in the UK temporarily for work or study, or for those who want an internationally recognised English qualification. These qualifications are useful when looking for work in the UK and abroad, and are accepted by many universities as evidence of competence in English.

ESOL courses are for adults who are settled in the UK and want to improve their English language skills for work, living in the UK or study.

On most ESOL courses you will gain a qualification when you complete your studies.  As an ESOL & EFL student, you will have regular tutorials and be able to discuss your progress with your tutor and what you might go on to do or study after you have finished your course.

We have close links with Lambeth’s Adult Guidance Service and all students have access to FREE careers advice and support from a qualified advisor.

Many of our students have gone on to join the Access to Higher Education programme at Morley or joined vocational courses in further education or improved their employment prospects.
