What version of Adobe software will I use on the digital design courses?
Adobe’s Creative Suite 5 or 6 Master collection is available for most digital design, film and photography courses.
Will I get a certificate at the end of the course?
We can provide you with a certificate of attendance once you have completed the course successfully (terms and conditions apply). Please let the tutor know in advance if you wish to receive a certificate.
Will I receive a certificate for Adobe accredited courses?
Yes, once you have passed the Adobe ACA exam you will be able to download a copy of your certificate online.
Can I use my own computer in the design studio?
You are welcome to bring your own laptop if you prefer. Please let us know in advance if you plan on using your own device and we will be able to support you if required.
Is WiFi available in the digital design studio?
Wireless access to the internet is available in the studio and in many other areas of the college. If you are planning to use your laptop, iPad etc, please let us know and we will provide you with login details.
What kind of computer will I use on the course, Mac or PC?
The majority of digital design, film and some of the photography courses are taught in our new digital design studio which is fitted out with the latest iMacs. Some courses run on PCs.
I have not used a Mac before will that be a problem?
Most students have no difficulties migrating to a Mac, as the operating system is intuitive and very easy to use. However, we have developed a special short course that we recommend for all students new to Mac computers that will help you to get started. What version of Maya / 3d Max software will be used on the course?
AutoDesk’s latest Entertainment Creation Suite 2012 is installed on computers in the digital design studio and PC suite. All Maya courses run on iMacs in our digital design studio and 3d Max is taught on PC.
I don’t have Adobe software installed on my own personal computer, how can I obtain a free copy?
Adobe offers a 30 day trial version for most applications, which can be downloaded from the Adobe website. The trial version is fully functional and offers every feature of the product for you to test-drive.
I would like to purchase a Mac before I enrol, am I entitled to a discount?

As a Morley student can I get a discount on Adobe software?
Yes, Morley students qualify for Adobe’s educational discount on most software (terms & conditions apply). For more details please visit the Education section of the Adobe website.
However, you need to be enrolled on one of our courses to take advantage of any educational discounts.
