Access to Higher Education

Our Access to Higher Education courses help prepare students for study at university. If you are considering study at university level but are concerned that you’re not quite ready, an Access to HE Diploma will provide you with the skills, knowledge and confidence to help you access the course of your choice.

We offer a variety of Access pathways within the areas of Health, Humanities and Music, which can lead on to further studies and careers in a wide range of fields including law, government and politics, marketing, media, music performance, sound production, nursing, midwifery, therapy and social work.

Each pathway is run on a part time basis and is usually completed within a year. During the course you will undertake a number of modules aimed at helping you meet the requirements of your university course and improving your learning skills.

You’ll also receive help and support with making your application to the university of your choice, and our Progression Agreement with London South Bank University will guarantee you an interview with their linked HE course if you successfully complete your Diploma and a UCAS personal statement.

We also offer several Pre-Access courses for students who are not yet ready to undertake an Access to HE Diploma.
