Arabic (Modern) After Christmas1A
For complete beginners. Learn how to read and write, with plenty of opportunities to practise both written and spoken Modern Standard Arabic. In its classical form, it is the language of the Holy Qur’an; in its everyday use - the language of newspapers, also widely heard on radio and television. It is the formal language currently used in all Arabic countries.

Chinese (Mandarin) 1A After Christmas
For complete beginners. Focus on basic Chinese vocabulary, sentence structures and grammar using everyday topics in the first term. Phonetics, tone exercises and drills help with the correct pronunciation and intonation from the beginning. Introduction to the radical system (Chinese character composition), including pinyin spelling, stroke order and basic characters.
