Art and the Picturesque
The Picturesque has been a significant concept in the history of art and in the development of an aesthetic, in terms of how we view nature. Look at the origins of picturesque theory in the late eighteenth century, and examine its history and continued influence though to the present day. Explore how picturesque ideas inspired movements in painting and drawing, while also influenced garden design, architecture, sculpture, literature and tourism.

Beads, Bangles and Brooches - Textile Jewellery
Make exciting and original soft jewellery using stuffed and stitched cloth, the embellisher, dry felting, and your own heat transfer printed fabrics. Basic materials provided, but bring your own collection of fabric scraps, beads, and fancy yarns to enhance your work.
