  • A Quilt in Three Days

    This course introduces students with a little knowledge to the making of a small or single bed quilt in three days. Using one of two designs, students will learn fast piecing techniques, using a sewing machine.

    For experienced students who want to further their skills and develop a personal approach to painting. You will learn through self-directed studio practice, individual tutorials, technical demonstrations, lectures and group discussions. Entry is by interview with portfolio of recent work.

    A sculpture workshop for experienced sculpture students/sculptors to develop individual projects and/or work from other sculpture classes.     Explore jewellery making using precious and base metals. You will cover skills such as saw piercing, filing, soldering and polishing to create two or three beautifully finished pieces of jewellery. Basic material costs included.

  • An Introduction to Working With Stained Glass

    This beginners course will teach you all the techniques necessary to design and create your own stained glass 'leaded light' panels .Learn to design workable patterns, cutting glass, leading and soldering. After the first of two projects, the materials for the second panel will be charged at cost price.

  • Beads, Bangles and Brooches - Textile Jewellery

    Make exciting and original soft jewellery using stuffed and stitched cloth, the embellisher, dry felting, and heat transfer printed fabrics. Basic materials provided, but bring your collection of fabric scraps, beads, and fancy yarns to enhance work.

  • Beauty and Seduction - Veronese and his Rivals

    One of the greatest painters in 16th-century Venice, Paolo Veronese perfectly portrayed the city's splendour, seduction and serenity. This study day includes a visit to the National Gallery, which recently organised the UK's first exhibition on Veronese.
