Mike Lake CBE (Chair)

Mike has broad experience of working in the charitable and non-profit sectors, after an earlier career in the Army.

He was for 13 years Chief Executive of Help the Aged and had responsibility in a number of trustee roles. He is currently Chairman of the International Longevity Centre, a policy think tank addressing issues associated with an ageing society, a trustee of Cornwall Care, and Chairman of the Advisory Committee to the Charity Employees Benevolent Fund. He also works as a non-executive director of two small commercial concerns, and has retired recently as Chairman of the management company of the Chelsea Arts Club.
