Governing Body

Our Governing Body currently comprises fifteen members; two student members, two staff members, the Principal and other members from a range of different professional backgrounds. All members give their time and commitment on a voluntary basis. It is the role of the Governing Body to oversee the proper management of the College by the College Leadership Team, providing advice and guidance as required, and to further the objectives and performance of the College, its staff and students.

In previous years, the Governing Body met on average four times per year, and delegated much of its detailed work to sub-committees, the four main ones being: Audit, Finance & Resources, Quality & Standards and Property Strategy. These each met termly, with the additional Search and Remuneration Committees meeting as and when required. At its meeting in November 2011, the Governing Body decided to enhance the governance arrangements in place at the College by holding more full Governing Body meetings and fewer committees. A schedule of Governing Body meeting dates for 2012 is provided below:

Friday 30th March (Strategic Planning Day)

Tuesday 8th May

Tuesday 12th June
